This year in music class, we'll be singing, clapping, playing instruments, dancing, and playing games to learn musical concepts including note names, rhythms, musical form, dynamics, tempo, and expression. We'll also be learning about composers and how they write music, music around the world, and how music can be used to express feelings.

Our daily classes allow students to explore:
Being fit and staying fit
How to use your body for all kinds of activities
How to take care of your body
Fun activities
In all grades, the program emphasizes the variety of ways we travel (e.g. running, skipping, hopping, sliding, etc.), changes of directions and speeds and different ways to balance, jump, and land.
It also concentrates on skill themes such as throwing, kicking, volleying, and striking with a bat or racket. In the upper grades the students are taught how to use these fundamental skills in games, sports, life-time activities, and various forms of rhythmical movement.
Wellness concepts are also taught throughout the year including bicycle safety, healthy eating, and life-time fitness/wellness.
Welcome to Social Skills! Leveraging the Second Step Curriculum, students will focus on Understanding Empathy, Emotion Management and Problem Solving. We will be utilizing role play, social skills games, and discussion to help students gain the skills of being respectful listeners and communicators.
